When printing things(hopefully on scratch paper or double sided), there is a setting(I'm not sure if it's on macs) where you you can use less ink on your printing. It can be found under properties. You can also use ecofont, which I don't think microsoft word has, but if you just type ecofont into the font drop-down menu thing it lets you use it.

Sounds cool. I haven't seen it on Word or Excel either, otherwise I would use it for my science fair project.
